Every sound produces sound waves or disturbances in the air, which travel at about 332 meters per second. Through complex internal processes, we can pick up these sound waves through our ears and eventually perceive them in the cerebral cortex of our brain. Our brain is capable of receiving an enormous number of various kinds of sounds generated in our environment and, what is most intriguing: it can make sense of them. It knows how to differentiate all the numerous sounds and link them to our auditory memories. Vitamine C, ook wel ascorbinezuur of ascorbaat genoemd, is een vitamine dat van groot belang is voor onze weerstand en gezondheid. Zonder deze vitamine kunnen we niet leven. In de jaren1700 kregen scheepslui door een tekort aan groenten en fruit geen vitamine C en stierven aan scheurbuik. Een tekort aan vitamine C is dus dodelijk en dat geld voor bijna alle vitaminen. Een teveel aan vitaminen is gezond en bestrijdt veel ziekten. De meeste dieren, met uitzondering van de mens en apen, kunnen in de lever vitamine C in grote hoeveelheden uit glucose maken. De diagnose “scheurbuik” wordt zelden gesteld omdat men de symptomen niet kent. In April 2010 the Deutscher Zentralverein homoeopathischer Aerzte (German National Association of Homeopathic Physicians) published an interview with Professor Edzard Ernst in its newsletter.[1]

In this interview Ernst claims that he “acquired the prerequisites” to be able to add ‘homeopathy’ to his medical title “but never applied for the title”. In fact, a crucial ‘prerequisite’ in Germany, where homeopathy is regulated, is to have passed an exam at the relevant regional branch of the German Landesaerztekammer (medical council), and Ernst never did this. The use of ultra-diluted natural products in the management of disease and treatment of cancer has generated a lot of interest and controversy. We conducted an in vitro study to determine if products prescribed by a clinic in India have any effect on breast cancer cell lines. We studied four ultra-diluted remedies (Carcinosin, Phytolacca, Conium and Thuja) against two human breast adenocarcinoma cell lines (MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231) and a cell line derived from immortalized normal human mammary epithelial cells (HMLE). The remedies exerted preferential cytotoxic effects against the two breast cancer cell lines, causing cell cycle delay/arrest and apoptosis. lees verder
