Biochemic system of medicine. The Theory, Pathological Action, Therapeutical Application, Materia Medica and Repertory of The Twelve Biochemic Remedies.
Nature has intended that all living things shall for the span of their existence, be strong and healthy to their greatest capacity. Sickness, therefore, is an unnatural condition- one at variance with the intentions o Nature. and nature itself is continually battling against such conditions. Logically, then, man in his edeavor to combat disease, should study nature and in an understanding way help it to overcome its natural enemy, disease. In the past, however, as a study of medical history will show, man has been groping along the wrong way. Strong drugs, poisons, nauseous chemicals, unnecessary surgery - these were formerly the means employed to overcome disease. According to the theory of Biochemistry, health is dependent upon the quantity and equalization of the organic and inorganic constituents of the body. The body is merely a collection of cells, each cell being composed of organic and inorganic matter; the former, quantitatively, largely prepondering. But it is the presence of the inorganic matter, which, though in minute quantity, unites with and activates the organic element and causes the cell to function in a normal manner. Carey explains the theory and practice of biochemistry as stated by the famous scientist Dr. W.H. Schuessler, as well as the results of all the important recent developments and discoveries. In every case he has endeavored to trace back the disease to its inception and to show the logical steps in its development and the corresponding biochemical treatment.
